It was nice to visit Gangneung on weekdays because there were not many people even though it was summer vacation season. This tour introduces Gangneung which I visited for business. When I arrived in Gangneung, which took about two hours by KTX from Seoul, Soohorang, and Bandabi, the mascots of the 23rd Pyeongchang Winter Olympics held in 2018, welcomed me.

It took about two hours from Seoul to Gangneung by KTX.

I left at 6 a.m. and arrived at Gangneung, and it was 8 a.m.! I had time until the 1 p.m. meeting, so I searched for places to visit in Gangneung that are related to the Korean Wave, and I planned the following course. 1. “Imdang-dong Catholic Church” of Mister Sunshine 2. BTS Bus Stop “Jumunjin Hyangho Beach” 3. “Jumunjin Break Water” of Goblin 4. “OJukheon” of Sin Saimdang and Yulgok Yi I

While searching for various places to fill the hungry stomach between downtown Gangneung and Jumunjin, I went to the original Gyodong Jjamppong recommended by my colleague. There were a lot of people waiting in line even though it was 30 minutes before lunchtime…(Hungry~~) It is closed every Monday, so please refer to it, if you want to visit Gangneung and visit this place.

The original Gangneung Gyodong Restaurant is closed every Monday.
Rice or noodles were ordered first and the price was 10,000 won (dumpling is sold out on this day)

After the delicious lunch, I moved to the SWEET BUNS Gyeongpo branch located in Gyeongpodae, the meeting place. The main contents were tourism courses in Gangwon-do, specialties, and win-win cooperation with small and medium-sized companies. I might have to visit Chuncheon soon. Then the next episode of “Finding the Roots of Korean Wave” might be Chuncheon~~^^. Be healthy and happy until we meet in the next post!
