SBS drama special “While You Were Sleeping” filming location, Yaksagogae-gil 49beon-gil, Chuncheon-si

August 2nd, a week after I went to Gangneung! As planned, I went to Chuncheon, the lakeside city ^^ I heard that the rainy season was over, but on the way from Seoul to Chuncheon, I sometimes got rained on…This business trip was an extension of the collaboration proposal with Gangwon-do in Gangneung, and finally, I was able to return to Seoul with very good news. I had time until the meeting time in the afternoon, so I found some places related to the Korean Wave again this time, and I planned the course below.

  1. While You Were Sleeping, “Yaksagogae-gil 49beon-gil”
  2. Winter Sonata, “Junsang’s house”
  3. That Winter, the Wind Blows, “80 Haetgol-gil, Namsan-myeon.”
  4. Soyang River, “Skywalk”
Check out the video on Enjoystreet Live!
I went into the alley and walked about 100m and arrived at the filming location.

As I went around Chuncheon, where there are various things to see around the Soyang River, I got hungry again…Dak-galbi(Spicy Stir-fried Chicken) and makguksu(buckwheat noodles) are the best in Chuncheon, right? So I headed to “Myeongdong Dakgalbi Alley”. I want to go to all the Dakgalbi restaurants in the alley if I have time, but I postponed the Dakgalbi tour next time and visited the Chuncheonbonga Charcoal Dakgalbi Makguksu restaurant in Chuncheon, near the entrance. Since various media already visited this restaurant, so I went in with high expectations and the restaurant served a delicious lunch~~

To tell you the truth, it rained and there was not enough time, so I only visited the filming site “While You Were Sleeping”, then it became overshadowed the title of “Finding the Roots of the Korean Wave.” I couldn’t walk on the skywalk in the morning because of the rain, but the skywalk I saw on my way to Seoul after the meeting opened in the meanwhile. Unfortunately, I think I’ll visit Gangwon-do a lot for the time being, so I’ll look forward to the next chance. Where would be good for the next “Finding the Korean Wave”? ^^ It will probably be downtown Seoul, so let’s meet at the next post~~
