Personally, I like Hangwa (Korean traditional sweets and cookies) very much, and I often look for it and eat it. Unfortunately, there are not many places because of little interest in Korean sweets, but I am still visiting several places for the fun of looking for delicious places. I would like to introduce the cafes that I found.

HAPP

This is where you can taste citron shaved ice while looking at an old Korean tile-roofed house in a cafe with whole glass. It’s “HAAP”. What about enjoying the scenery while eating less-sweet rice cakes or yakgwa (honey cookie) with sweet and sour citron shaved ice?

KIMSSIBOOIN

This is KIMSSIBOOIN cafe, which serves traditional refreshments and drinks formally on the soban (small portable dining table). In the past, yangban (nobleman) in the Joseon Dynasty enjoyed eating meals or dessert on the soban as shown in the photo. I think it would be good to enjoy it as if you’ve become the yangban of the past for a while.

Gangjeong House

It is a ‘Gangjeong House’ that mainly specialized in Gangjeong. This is a cafe where Korean traditional sweets experts make rice cakes and Korean sweets. You’ll be able to feel the lively atmosphere of the workshop.
