There is Seoul in the north, and then there is Busan in the south. People on the beach have been said to be rough and harsh since ancient times, but if there is Viking in Northern Europe, I think there will be Busan Guy in Korea. So this time, I would like to introduce Busan, which has another charm of Korea.

Busan is one of the six metropolitan cities in Korea, and it has the largest infrastructure in many ways. Thanks to the geography facing the sea, the port was built, the shipbuilding and fisheries industries were developed, and it boasts one of the top ten logistics industries in the world.

부산 카페거리

There are many cafes to visit in Busan. In particular, thanks to the topography facing the sea, there are many cafes along the beautiful coastline. If you drink coffee while looking at the bridge and coastline over the glass, it tastes quite different from the coffee you eat while looking at the city at Yongsan Haebangchon (https://enjoystreet.com/2022/07/27/3548/), which was introduced before.

If you want to see more coastline, I recommend using Haeundae Blue Line Park. It is a tourist destination that has been in the spotlight by renovating the Donghae Nambu Line for eco-friendly purposes in the past. Inside the train, chairs are arranged toward the window, and you can see the coastline vividly during operation. There are intermediate stations, so even if it’s annoying, please get off at each station and look around.

Among the stations is the Bridge Stone Observatory, and the floor is made of partial glass, as shown in the picture above, so you can see the sea vividly. You can see more than 2 meters of seaweed like the picture at the bottom. In addition, you can see the endless horizon while facing the cool wind.

The Seaweed

The last station is Mipo Station. If you walk a little bit from here, Haeundae Beach spreads out to the right.

Haeundae Beach is the largest beach in Busan, famous for the background of the movie “Haeundae,” and is considered the number one summer resort. It is very crowded with visitors every summer.

When the sun goes down, Haeundae boasts a beautiful night view that reminds you of Singapore. There is a place where you can enjoy the night view in particular, so it is The Bay 101. In the evening, it is crowded with people who came to take pictures of the night view of Marine City and the skyline.

There is a place as good as Marine City when it comes to night view from Busan, and it is Gwangandaegyo Bridge as seen from Gwangalli Beach. Taking a walk along Gwangalli Beach while looking at the night view of Gwangandaegyo Bridge is one of the must-do things when you go to Busan.

There are many things to eat in Busan. Of course, not only seafood, but also wheat noodles, pork and rice soup, and Eonyang Bulgogi are famous. I’m posting pictures of each food in case you’re curious about what kind of food it is, so please enjoy seeing it.
