Hello, I’m Rita, a tour guide who makes ongoing memories with my child.

I went on summer vacation early, this year. Yeosu is a place with a wonderful night view in Korea. I think most of you will agree with this when you see my daughter enjoy singing “Yeosu Night Sea.”

So, I would like to introduce various things about Yeosu’s wonderful scenery. Among them, I would like to introduce Yeosu’s “I Museum,” a place that I would recommend visiting especially on a summer trip as a family trip.

‘iMuseum’ is a space where you can experience media art. You can experience satisfying the five senses through various music, lighting, and installations. You can already see it in other regions, but the experience of the fantastic world that I met on summer vacation had come to be another charm.

Even if you don’t use your car, Yeosu iMuseum is located right in front of Yeosu Expo Station, so it’s very accessible. We had no parking stress because the parking space was spacious. The day I visited was a rainy season, but the day was sunny, and the Expo Fair was moderately crowded due to the event, so I could fully feel the sense of adventure in a new place as a stranger to the travel destination.

Access is free, you can make online reservations on Naver, and you can use kiosks when entering. It’s 12,000 won for adults and 8,000 won for children. It consists of three independent exhibition halls, so it can take about an hour if you fully watch it. Especially if you are accompanied by a young child, you may have to be poised before you go to the second exhibition hall.

The first space is literally ‘Space’. The walls were filled with brilliant images, and when I walked through the rhythmically moving along with the music, I felt as if I was in a dream.

There are individual spaces inside, so you can take pretty pictures to post on SNS, such as cotton clouds, light bulbs, and full moon space.

Hand shadow play on the wall

The second exhibition hall is ‘Play’. I could look around a very spacious space as if I was in the sea. When we went there, we were the only ones who saw it because of the perfect timing. It will probably be a little crowded during the holiday season, but it was a great attraction to spend time in such a cool and fantastic space during the hottest daytime.

Riding the center slide, Having an exciting ball fight in the ball pool, and just Having fun!
It’s a space where children can draw and color themselves. If you scan the picture, you can see a moving video of it in the media space!

If you scan the children’s painted stingrays and squid paintings, you can see them swimming on the floor of the exhibition.

I filmed it and it was a great memory.

I think the beauty of this new media exhibition space is being able to create customized content.

The third space is a space of healing, relaxation, and meditation. I think it was the space of mothers and fathers who put their energy into the children in the second space in front. In that sense, I thought the design of the exhibition hall was excellent.

The first space represents the ground, the second represents the sea, and the third represents the sky so we could sit on a comfortable couch and see the sky. The music was calm and the curved wall resembling the sky was a mysterious image, so we could relax.

After about an hour of satisfactory viewing, all my family members were able to enjoy the feeling of traveling outside of their daily lives. In a virtual world created by new media, why don’t you open your imagination with your children, draw happiness, and make a lot of memories?

This was Rita, who delivered a happy family trip.
